What Can I Do With a Criminal Justice Degree?

As a graduate of a criminal justice degree program, you will find that there are many different jobs available. This degree will qualify you for a career in corrections, the justice system, law enforcement, homeland security and social services. Popular working environments for those with a criminal justice bachelor's degree include prisons, court systems, police and sheriff's departments and crime scene investigations. In order to work for most government agencies, you'll need a degree at the bachelor's level or higher. These agencies include the Secret Service, DEA, FBI and CIA. Some students who have earned a criminal justice bachelor's degree decide to go on to graduate studies, often law school.

With a degree in criminal justice, you'll be entering a healthy job market. Positions within local, state and federal government provide excellent stability.
