Like many other liberal arts degrees, business communications will prepare you for a variety of careers. Some of the most common are advertising, marketing, public relations, promotions and sales. After graduation, you will typically start off in an entry level position but have plenty of room for growth, as a degree in this field will give you an advantage. You may find yourself working under pressure, especially if you're in a deadline-oriented position. What Is the Career Outlook for Business Communications Degree Students?

The career outlook for those with a business communications degree is favorable. By 2018, this field is expected to grow by about 13 percent, about as fast as the average for all occupations. This growth and demand is being met with a significant number of qualified applicants, so there will be competition for jobs, especially for coveted managerial positions. Wages can vary quite a bit, but managers in this field usually earn $54,000 to $127,000 a year.
