Nursing Student – Amanda Brown
About Amanda
Amanda Brown is a registered nurse and a very busy stay-at-home mother with three children, ages, 5, 7 and a 10 month old. She is looking to get back into nursing after two years of absence. In addition to working again, Amanda would like to get her bachelor’s degree in nursing. After hours of research and a live web chat with an admissions advisor from an accredited online college, Amanda decided on an RN to BSN program. She was intrigued by the program’s schedule of online classes and zero clinicals, since she plans to work and attend school part-time an online degree was a perfect fit.
Her online college is dedicated to making the whole experience as easy and convenient as possible. Therefore, all books are included in tuition and shipped to her house prior to the start of each period. The online school also provides helpful services, such as online tutoring and all-day technical support, advising and library catalogs online without hidden fees and miscellaneous charges. Amanda’s tuition is about $350 per credit with an additional technology fee per quarter.
The RN to BSN program gives Amanda the convenience of tending to her children’s needs while at home and allows her to fit classes around her busy schedule. With that being said, she can also reach her own educational goals and better her career. An online degree in nursing will also open up doors for more job opportunities and set Amanda apart from other RN’s.
