Overall, engineering career opportunities will be good in the next seven years, but these predictions differ among specialties. For example, aerospace engineering is expected to see 10 percent growth by 2016, while biomedical engineering employment is predicted to rise 21 percent, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics. Though expanding at different rates, job growth is not expected to decline in any major engineering sector.
